Letter To Patients
Dear Patients,
It is with great sadness that I inform you that effective October 1, 2025, I will close the primary care portion of my practice. I will continue to see pilots. I suggest to all of my patients that you schedule an appointment prior to that time to obtain a 6 month prescription of any medications that you are taking, and complete any bloodwork or other testing that has been recommended or ordered. Starting October 1, 2025, all records will be managed through a custodian of records to make it easier for you to transfer your records. Most physicians will not want to accept large paper charts, so requested records will be scanned. Effective October 1, 2025 I will no longer function as a primary care physician and I will no longer prescribe medications, provide referrals, authorizations or offer medical advice. All prescriptions for bloodwork or testing and appointments will be void after this date.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have towards all of you whom I consider my extended family. We have been through so much together and I have a special place in my heart for all of you. When I first started practice, 90% of family physicians owned and operated their own practice. Now that ratio is reversed and the independent physician is close to extinction. Hospitals or large entities now own virtually all physicians and control the way they practice.

I started searching in 2020 for a like-minded physician that could take over the care of my patients and I am sorry to say that I was not successful. However, I have reached a time in my life where I have decided I must stop working the late night hours and stop fighting the daily battles of the current drug-based medical system. For your continued medical needs, I suggest you contact your insurance or independently research a physician that will be most compatible for you.

Over the years together we have reviewed all the tools for optimal healthy living and I hope all of you will continue to grow the seeds we have planted together.

With much love and gratitude,

Dr Deborah Dykema
